On-call this week but “off” today due to company holiday. Relaxing, cooking/household stuff
coming off one of the best weekends I've had in a long time. Early evening email check revealed no burning issues.

Time flew by in a good way -it's great to break traffic laws and listen to whole albums but this much
driving will be avoided in the future. It cuts into beer drinking time before/during/after [stratetgy, eh?].

This three-day weekend in Austin gave me more joy than my vacation. That was a reboot/escape; this was relaxing.

One of the top brewpubs in the state, San Antonio's Freetail Brewing Company, reached it’s first birthday last weekend and continues
to pile up beer cred as evidenced by selling out all 300 bottles of La Muerta -double last year’s bottling, by 6:30 pm.

Quetzie and I hit the road this past Thursday to visit HermanoDiablo and get that contact/second-hand high only Austin can deal out in an overnight stay. The highlights at the Draught House were the Southern Star Hatchet Stout and the House’s own, Northwest Pale.

Due to my niche of IT, I may have to relocate but as long as it’s in Texas, I don’t mind. Austin would be preferable [better beer & food] with San Antonio running second to be closer to family. In reality, there’s more opportunity in Dallas-Ft.Worth for me. Still more contacts to talk with, I made a lot in my nine years with slAveCS.
